Copper Tea Kettle - Service and Style
When it comes to the subject of a copper tea kettle, many people can recall having an older relative who loved to make tea
with a copper tea kettle when they were kids. The reason that tea kettles made out of copper were so common in older people’s homes in years
past, copper was probably the preferred metal used to make tea kettles back in the day. These days, most people get their tea by pulling the “hot
water” lever of a coffee machine and then tossing a tea bag into their cup. Sigh. Not as fun or romantic. Makes you kind of wish for the age old
days of the copper tea kettle. Hmmm. Wait a second. Who ever said that copper is no longer used for making tea kettles any more?
There are many thousands of tea kettles still made from copper and there are many thousands of people who enjoy purchasing
these copper tea kettles. So what is it about copper that makes it such a preferred metal for tea making purposes? Well, there are a number of
reasons that make people opt to select copper kettles as their favorite type of tea kettle.
First, copper tea kettles look good. Looks mean everything to some people and the shiny image that a copper tea kettle
provides is a great addition to the kitchen. Having such a tea kettle on one’s kitchen wall is truly enhancing.
Second, copper is very durable. Who wouldn’t want a copper tea kettle that is going to last many years and not succumb to
deterioration? Purchasing a tea kettle made of copper is to purchase a tea kettle that is devoid of problems associated with kettles made of a
lesser quality.
Third, copper may have an effect on the taste of the tea. While this one is not scientifically proven, there are those who
claim that copper may add flavor to the tea. Who’s to argue with them?
